I felt this deserved a photo. Our old family car "Millie" (1993 Ford Falcon) and my new beastie (name pending, 1996 Toyota Corolla Seca). Identical colours, almost like sisters in a way.
I actually got teary today while helping clean the Falcon out. We've had her for 13 years this month, but she's nearly 20, and we just can't afford to keep repairing her. I like to think not of her being replaced, but being retired. She's currently for sale, and I'm hoping whoever wants her will take care of her.
Most definitely. The factors to sway me toward a car were "under $5,000", "red", "automatic" and "CD player". It's manual, but I can learn to drive with some practice.
It sure is. I took it for a spin today to get used to the gears, and apparently my only problem is timing the accelerator and clutch... and the occasional wrong gear. My step-dad is far more patient than any driving instructor ever was.
Hopefully your new car serves you just as well as the old one, if not better.
And hopefully the name you give it is awesome!
Have you run it for a test-run? Besides getting it home I mean.
